Dr. Garland Cline came to us from Morganton, North Carolina in January of 2016.  Called into ministry in 1994, Dr. Cline has served as a Pastor for the last sixteen years and as a student pastor for six years prior to his calling into the pastoral ministry.  All of his ministry took place in his home state of North Carolina.  Dr. Cline was called to Westmont Baptist with a love for Christ, a heart for missions, a burden to win the lost, and a desire to see Christians mature in their daily walk with Christ.  He has a wealth of ministry knowledge and experience to help us praise and proclaim Jesus Christ proudly, boldly, lovingly, and loudly throughout this area.  He is a graduate of Gardner-Webb University, Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, and Andersonville Theological Seminary.  He has been and continues to be very involved in mission work through World Changers, Disaster Relief, and Baptist Builders.  He has a precious wife (Jamie) of twenty seven years, a lovely daughter (Bethany), and two dogs (Miracle and Buddy) who have fit in just wonderfully here at Westmont and in our city.  They look forward to getting to know the area, the people, and the culture here in Johnstown, as we work together to connect our neighbors to God, People, and Service.   You can visit Dr. Cline's website by just clicking on his picture to the right.

The Westmont Baptist Church started as a home fellowship in 1967 with Bro. Joseph Waltz, Superintendent of Missions, Greater Pittsburgh Baptist.  Today, Westmont is a church composed of various age groups who have been brought together by the Lord Jesus Christ to praise and proclaim His Great Name throughout Johnstown, Cambria County, Pennsylvania, America, and the world.  We are proudly partnered with the Southern Baptist Convention, Pennsylvania South Jersey State Convention, and Conemaugh Valley Baptist Association.  We at Westmont strive to connect our neighbors to Christ, Christian Community, and Biblical Service.  We have a blended worship service that allows various age groups to lift up and praise our Lord Jesus Christ.  We have adopted the 2000 Baptist Faith and Message along with our constitution and by-laws to govern this body of Christ.  For more information about us, our beliefs, or ministries, please click on the "contact" tab and write us.  Someone will be in contact with you soon.
