SPECIAL OFFERINGS COLLECTED HERE AT WESTMONT FOR THE PURPOSE OF MISSION

What is the Cooperative Program?

The Cooperative Program is Southern Baptists’ unified plan of giving through which cooperating Southern Baptist churches give a percentage of their undesignated receipts in support of their respective state convention and the Southern Baptist Convention missions and ministries.

How Does The Cooperative Program Work?

It begins with you!  You give yourself first to God (II Cor. 8:5). Next, out of gratitude and obedience to God for what He has done for you, you commit to give back to Him, through your church, a portion of what He provides. This is commonly called a tithe and represents ten percent of your income (Lev. 27:30Mal. 3:10).

Here at Westmont Baptist Church... each year we prayerfully decide how much of our undesignated gifts will be committed to reaching people in our state and around the world through The Cooperative Program. We then forwarded this amount to our State Baptist Convention.  Please watch the video above to get a better understanding of how the Cooperative Program works.

Starting in 1888, the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering® was established to empower the international missions efforts for Southern Baptists. After more than a century, the annual offering continues its steady growth. Our giving during the months of November and December enables missionaries to be sent to make disciples and multiply churches among un-reached peoples and places for the glory of God.  For those who cannot go physically, many give sacrificially to this very special offering each year.

The Annie Armstrong Easter Offering®, which is collected during the months of March and April, changes lives forever by empowering North American missionaries to bring the gospel to the lost. With over 269 million lost people, North America and its major cities are some of the most spiritually dark places in the world. Join us on the mission to equip every missionary and reach every lost person in the United States and Canada.

The State Missions Emphasis is an annual observance in BRN-affiliated churches that highlights what God is doing across Pennsylvania and South Jersey. Each September, our congregation has the opportunity to learn about, pray for, and give to support special ministries, outreach projects, and other initiatives that are not funded through regular giving streams but are uniquely connected to Penn/South Jersey Baptists.  This offering is called the "Mary Price State Missions Offering."
